Support From High Sherriff Of Somerset: Janet Montgomery (2025/26)

🌟High Sheriff of Somerset Visits Donate For Defib WsM Project Team at Revo Kitchen 🌟

Weston-super-Mare, Somerset – [Thursday 12th June 2025]
In a truly inspiring show of community support, the Donate For Defib WsM Project Team had the immense honour of welcoming the new High Sheriff of Somerset, Janet, and her son Rory to Revo Kitchen on Thursday.

The visit was a heartening moment for the team, who are dedicated to increasing defibrillator awareness and access across Weston-super-Mare. The High Sheriff showed a deep and sincere interest in the group’s vital work, engaging with thoughtful questions and sharing words of encouragement. Her enthusiasm was especially appreciated as the team proudly shared news of their recent nomination for the BBC Make A Difference Award in the Community category.

Joining the celebration were several key team members and generous sponsors, including Josh, Peter, Christina, Anne from AMS Electrical, and Josh and Sonia from JD3DP. One of the day’s most touching moments came when Josh presented the High Sheriff with a custom-made chopping board — lovingly engraved with the image of Maya the Defib Dog 🐶 — as a token of appreciation for her support.

📸 The special visit was beautifully documented, with heartfelt thanks to Peter for capturing stunning photos and to Ian Phillips from Ian Phillips Photography, who created a vibrant musical slideshow capturing the spirit of the occasion.

The visit marks a meaningful milestone in the campaign’s journey, with more exciting developments and a forthcoming letter of support on the horizon which will be published on: https://donatefordefibwsm.co.uk/support-from-high-sheriff-of-somerset/

Official Letter Of Support - High Sheriff Of Somerset

"The High Sheriff of Somerset's support is a huge boost and asset to the Donate For Defib WSM Project. To thank the High Sheriff for their continued efforts and support towards the project, I laser engraved a chopping board with a Maya design that I had designed myself, with a lovely thank you message from the Project's team. I of course added some food safe mineral oil to the board to make it as food safe as possible and to prolong the life of the engraving, as I do with all my chopping boards. It was a true pleasure to meet the High Sheriff of Somerset to raise more awareness for such an important cause."
