🐶💚 Love is in the Air… and So Are Lifesavers! 💚🐶

This week, we’re feeling the heartbeat of love at the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity Airbase 💚💙 – and who better to share it than our Defib Dog Mascot, Maya, and her partner-in-crime, Trev! 🐾🐾

Together, they’re spreading awareness about the importance of life-saving defibrillators (AEDs) – because every heartbeat matters. Whether it’s in a public space, a business, or your community hub, having access to an AED can mean the difference between life and death. ⚡💓

📸 Huge thanks to Ian from Ian Phillips Photography for capturing the magic in our latest photoshoot! Your work is absolutely fantastic – we can’t wait to share these stunning shots with everyone!

💥 Did you know? A defibrillator can increase survival rates by over 70% when used within the first few minutes of cardiac arrest. They’re simple, safe, and designed for ANYONE to use – no training needed!

✨ Let’s make our towns and cities HEART SAFE. 💖

Maya's Story From Owners Lucy & Jason!

Maya is a 4-year-old friendly sheepadoodle (an old English sheepdog crossed with a poodle)

Born in Lytham St Annes on the 30/10/2020.

We picked her up on Christmas Eve on 24/12/2020 aged 8 weeks.

At the age of six months, in April 2021, she visits Weston beach for a sheepy walk. Where anything with an (old English breed)can join along with about 50 old English sheepdogs and sheepadoodles walking and playing all along the beach having the best time.

Her 1st holiday was in Devon where we visited Becky Falls at the age of 8 months.
They have a daily completion of Dog of the Day which Maya won and appeared on their Facebook and Instagram page.

Maya has several of her friends for sleepovers at our house which she loves.

She has had a lovely time at the donkey sanctuary in Sidmouth. She loves the donkeys and the walks.

She has been to the Big Bark at Bristol and West Showground and
Goes to the Weston Rotary Dog Show every year. Entering the dog show winning a couple of rosettes for prettiest bitch and best crossbreed.

She has been to Swansea Bay and the Mumbles where we did some of the Wales coastal path walk.

She has also achieved parts of the southwest coastal path with her mummy who is currently walking the 630-mile route.

She has visited the Quantocks and the Mendips on several occasions and loves her walks there too.

She is also a regular visitor of the National Trust.

She is partial to a bus and train journey.

She has been to Cornwall and played footy golf which she enjoyed immensely, although it was a little difficult getting the football of her.

We did the NC500 drive this year in Scotland we hired a VW van which she loved.

She has many friends who we meet up with regularly, and she loves the beach the park, and the woods.

She loves Reevo, The Bay, and Uphill Boathouse where she is a regular visitor of each of these cafes.

She loves a hike too recently doing 5 mountains in Wales.

She has done a charity walk too in Dorset for Clayesmore School this was fundraising for Ukraine.

She loves our local pub and we can finally sit down once she has said hello to everyone in the pub.

She is a happy friendly dog who loves people and other dogs.

She loves being the defib dog helping to fundraise for this fantastic cause.
