Lifeskills Event Recap: Empowering Communities with Avon & Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership! Last Thursday, 7th November 2025, we attended an incredible Lifeskills Event in partnership with Avon & Somerset Bleed Kit Partnership—equipping communities with life-saving knowledge and skills.

Following joint partnership working with Donate For Defib WsM Project a bleed kit has been installed at Coach House in Locking, Weston-Super-Mare.
The kit was funded by Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner following investment earlier this year.
The bleed kithas been installed next to one of their defibrillators 
bringing two life saving pieces of equipment side by side in a rural village where minutes save lives.

We are pleased to announce that following funding from Avon & Somerset Police & Crime Commissioner in the summer, we have now installed the final kits in Weston Super Mare.
From the funding which was to benefit towns, cities and urban areas across the Constabulary, North Somerset gained 19 bleed kits.
The final two were today installed at :
– Parklands Medical Centre, Anson Road, Locking
– Sweeney Todd Barber Shop, 122a Milton Rd, Ashcombe, Weston-super-Mare
Thank you to Donate For Defib WsM Project who assisted us in identifying sites and installing the kits for us which have been tactically placed next to their existing defibrillators – bringing two lifesaving pieces of equipment side by side.

We will continue to finalise installations from the PCC’s donated kits across Bristol, Bath and Somerset in the coming weeks.

New Bleed Kit Installed in Weston-super-Mare thanks to assistance from Donate For Defib WsM Project WSM
The kit has been placed at 168 Medical, Locking Road Doctors Surgery, where it now sits side by side with a life-saving defibrillator — enhancing the emergency response capability in the local area.
The defibrillator and bleed kit were donated in memory of Roy Chell 💚
We’re incredibly grateful to DonateForDefib WSM for their continued support in promoting and expanding access to bleed kits across North Somerset. Their partnership plays a vital role in making communities safer and more prepared for emergencies.

New Bleed Kit & Defibrillator Installed – Lew’s Barber Shack, Milton Road, Weston-super-Mare We’re pleased to share that a public access bleed kit and defibrillator have now been installed at Lew’s Barber Shack, Milton Road, Weston-super-Mare.
This vital equipment has been kindly funded through a legacy left in memory of Roy Dedman – a wonderful gesture that will help protect lives in our community for years to come.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Roy’s family and loved ones for making this possible, and to Lew’s Barber Shack for hosting the equipment.
Together, we are building a safer and more resilient community.
