💚 CARDIAC SURVIVOR STORY: JON’S JOURNEY WITH AF 💚
In 2008, a routine GP visit changed everything for Jon — revealing a dangerously high heart rate of over 180 bpm.
That moment began a long and determined journey with atrial fibrillation (AF), involving years of treatment and over ten ablation procedures across Weston Hospital, the Bristol Royal Infirmary, and the Bristol Heart Institute (BHI).
Under the expert care of Dr. Glyn Thomas and his incredible team, Jon finally achieved a stable sinus rhythm in 2017.
When AF returned in 2024, one final ablation discovered and corrected a tiny 2mm gap, successfully restoring his heart rhythm once again. ❤
Jon’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience, medical excellence, and hope — and we’re so grateful to him for sharing it with us to raise awareness.
