Good SAM Responder - Call Out's
Life Saved Yesterday Thanks to Swift Action – Posted: 05/09/2025Yesterday, our Project Lead Josh was alerted via the GoodSAM App by South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to a cardiac arrest / unresponsive patient.
Josh was in the company of Ian Phillips, Ian Phillips Photography at the time, and together they immediately responded. A primary survey and CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) were started, with defibrillator and pads used. Early Chain of Survival support quickly helped the patient regain consciousness. 
The ambulance crew soon arrived, care was handed over, and thanks to the fast teamwork of everyone involved, this was another life saved. 
We send our very best wishes to the patient and their family.
