Happy Easter to all our supporters🐤

It is great to have all your support as our project develops and we can continue to install publicly accessible defibrillators out in the community in Weston-Super-Mare and surrounding areas.

Defibrillator Updates:

4 more Defibrillators have been installed!

Coach House in Locking, Revo Kitchen sea Front, The Nut Tree Worle! 

A Defibrillator has been donated to the Community Response Team which can also be used on the Mavis Bus.

  • 3 other Defibrillators are on order 

The project team had a meeting with BBC Radio Bristol to discuss the project and how it has progressed and was aired 7th May 2024!

We would finally like to thank the Print Hive, Locking for supporting us with raising awareness of our project, by donating us a Banner, Magnetic Car Stickers, and much more!

Josh Co-Leader and Christina Project Secretary attended the Weston-super-Mare Street Pastor’s Breakfast to raise awareness of the Donate For Defib W-s-M Project and during this talk,  CPR awareness training session for the members of the street pastors team also took place.

Further training sessions have been planned for venues!

The Donate for Defib project now has a mascot, Maya is a 4-year-old Sheepadoodle and is the family dog belonging to Josh’s Cousin Lucy.

Maya has been invited to lots of events to help promote the Donate for Defib project and will attend events with the project team.

Tom Farrand Co-Leading Partner ran the Weston Half Marathon in March in preparation for running the London Marathon.

Tom completed the London Marathon on the 21st April 24  in 4 hours 49 minutes and 13 seconds, a fantastic achievement, and raised further funds for the Donate For Defib W-s-M Project.

The Donate for Defib team attended the Launch of the  Defib at Big Worle Hub supported by the local community!

Josh and Christina did an observation shift with the Weston-super-reet pastors on the 20th April from 22:00pm-04:00am to raise awareness of the role of the street pastors.

Josh and Christina attended Apple Blossom Day on 27th April 24 at Orchard Park Farm in Hornblotton Somerset, Orchard Park Farm has successfully reached their target for a defibrillator for their venue which is now on order.
